Earthquake in Türkiye

Two major earthquakes struck south-east Turkey on 6 February 2023. Fatalities: over 45,000 in Turkey In Turkey, over 2.2 million people had to leave their homes and 1.9 million are living in tents and temporary shelters. More than 30 members of the Swiss Humanitarian Aid Unit (SHA) provided medical treatment to 400 mothers and children in Turkey. In addition, 400 family tents and hygiene kits for 2,000 people and 300 winter tents for 1,500 people in Syria.
