Reconstruction of 500 private houses in remote areas of the south of Haiti

The reconstruction project is part of a multipillar approach covering the construction of community multipurpose shelters, reconstruction of houses (owner driven approach) in remote areas of the southern district of Haiti and training for masons and carpenters. Gouvernance and risk reduction are important elements of the programme. The design of the houses is based on local traditions and know how and avalability of matarial (TCLA = téchnique de construction locales ammélliorée).
