Summary
This publication aims to present the lessons learned from the ten-year school construction program in Haiti, launched by the Haitian government following the 2010 earthquake. This program, funded by the Inter-American Development Bank and implemented by local institutions, received technical support from construction experts of the SDC. The construction experts were seconded to the IDB to accompany the implementing partners in the application of new construction standards and earthquake-resistant school plans developed by the SDC/HA (PARIS project).
