This project was carried out by researchers as a contribution to the work of shelterproject.org. These guidelines aim to support the fieldworker in establishing the necessity for and overseeing the construction of a multi-purpose six metre wide modular building (here termed 'shed'), made from timber and plastic sheeting, to be used in a range of emergency situations as outlined below.
