Country wide site planning and shelter coordination provided by SDC-secondee Martin Bölsterli for UNHCR Uganda. Images give an impression of the DRC emergency in february 2018, the pdf's to download might be used as a guideline to understand the refugee situation in Uganda. Uganda is known worldwide as one of those countries with the most comprehensive refugee response. The plans in the end were part of the "Draft 2.0 / Emergency Shelter Strategy Uganda" (Not yet offically launched).
February 2018: More than 2'000 refugees a day crossed the border from DRC to Uganda by boat. Transfer from Sebagoro landing site to Reception center in Kyangwali settlement. Then transfered to their plots, waiting for construction materials.
